Abstract (including Motivation, Hypothesis and Method)

The T126 L28 "Final" Global Data Assimilation System (FNL GDAS) and daily Medium Range Forecast (MRF) are run on the new IBM SP. Compare to the operational T126 L28 FNL GDAS run on the Cray J916. Note that the operational run has no 06Z and 18Z assimilation since fire took the Cray C916 at the end of September.
