NCEP Model Graphics

The current forecast cycle is 00Z 14 MAY 2008 ; graphics finished at Wed May 14 05:50:22 GMT 2008

When any forecast hour button on the left is activated, the following four maps will be displayed:

  • Upper left : Operational North American Meso (0-84 h)

  • Upper right : Operational Global Forecast System (0-84 h)

  • Lower left : Parallel NAM (0-84 h) (if running)

  • Lower right : Operational NGM (0-48 h)

    • The parallel NAM log with further details can be found here.

    GRIB files from the operational NAM forecast can be found on the NCEP ftp server or at the NWS Gateway server. Descriptions of some of these output files can be found at the NAM Output Grid Domains page.

    BUFR hourly forecast sounding files (broken out by station) from the operational NAM forecast can be found on the NWS Gateway server
